Why Olaplex? Have you heard of Olaplex? Do you know what it is or why you should be using it?

   At Hair Color Experts our main focus is creating beautiful, long last hair color and to protect the integrity of your hair. One of the ways that we maintain beautiful hair is by implementing Olaplex into our Service Menu. Olaplex is a 3 step process, that works on a molecular level by re-linking broken bonds in the hair that are caused by chemical, thermal, and environmental damage.

   Olaplex No. 1  and No. 2 are used with hair color, lightener, perms and even as a stand alone conditioning treatment. The disulfide bonds that are broken by heat, coloring, or lightening with Olaplex can be restructured with more strength and density resulting in stronger, healthier, smoother and shinier hair.

 Olaplex N0 3 is what YOU need to take home for home maintenance routine.  This is a once a week treatment that will continue to strengthen the broken disulfide bonds.  It is applied to damp towel dried hair then shampooed  with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. The manufacturer recommends a minimum of 20 mins, but I do leave it longer.  I've left it on as long as an hour, some people feel the longer the better.

   There is also an intense in salon Olaplex treatment that can and should be done on extremely damaged hair.  This requires a minimum of 30 mins in the salon.  Be sure and talk to your stylist about what is best for your hair or come in and see us for a consultation and we'll be happy to help get your hair in the best shape in can be in this year.
