Tips for Choosing the Best Hair Color for YOUR Skin Tone
Tips for
choosing the right hair color for your skin tone
Not sure how
to choose a hair color that is right for your skin tone? First
thing to find out is what is you skin tone type. Are you a warm or
cool? Is your skin fair, medium or dark? Most of us can figure out
if we're fair, medium or dark complected just by looking in the
mirror, but when it comes to warm or cool that can be more difficult
to determine.
When
determining your skin tone type, ask yourself how does your skin tan.
Do you burn easily or do you tan easily. If you burn easily then
chances are you are a cool. Whereas if you tan easily, then
you are probably warm. Regardless of your skin tone make sure you
use a good sunscreen while your in the sun.
You also want to take a good look at your eye color. If your eye's have a lot of gold specs that is an indication of warm, if you have a lot of blues and greens then chances are you will fall into the cool category.
You also want to take a good look at your eye color. If your eye's have a lot of gold specs that is an indication of warm, if you have a lot of blues and greens then chances are you will fall into the cool category.
You can also do the 'wrist test'. Flip your wrist over and look at the veins. What color are they? If you see pinks, red, blues, and/or green then your probably cool. Warmer tones will have green or yellow tones. If your veins are the same color as your skin then you fall into the rare neutral category.
When we choose hair colors to compliment our complexion we want to choose colors that are opposite of our skin tone. If you fall into the warm category then you'll want your hair color to be cooler and same thing if you fall into the cool category, you'll want your hair color to be warm. Neutral categories are the lucky ones, the look good in everything.

figured out skin tones, let's check out some of the different hair
colors to compliment those tones.
